My credit limit is $3000. I had to replace my home server. Not long after I put the purchase on the card, my air conditioner broke down and I had to either replace it or have some expensive repairs. I put in a payment for the server even though the billing cycle was not up yet. But what happened next really pissed me off. My payment was put on hold for 7 days. When I called customer service, I was told that they do reserve the right to hold your payments if there is "unusual activity". USAA's customer service is great but if you have any of their cards, I think you have to be aware of this.

2 things about this card.

1. There is an annual fee. No ridiculous, but I guess I could do without.
2. When I was in Europe, the chip did not work at train stations.

I remembered that when I applied for this card, the website did say that they would consider you for "automatic upgrade to a premium card". It has been a year and when I called them, CSR said that I would have to apply for a new card. Has anyone have any "upgrade" experience?
