Just got the card recently and do not have enough points. So I am just going to book our next cruise and excursions. After we make our final payment, I am just going to use the points for OBC, which I'll probably use on board for drink packages and maybe a spa package.

Using your points for a free cruise is definitely the best bang for the buck "if you could find a cruise that fits the category for points and price of the cruise". From my experience, that rarely happens. So it's either OBC or cruise discounts for me.

We have had this card for a few years. We charge everything to the card and typically just use it for on board credit after we make our final payment. We usually get $400 to $500 worth of OBC and that really takes care of almost every on board expenses so I do not get any extra charges on my credit card after the cruise.

I did not really have a great experience applying for this card. A year and a half ago, I actually got denied. This was despite having 2 BOA cards and always having paid on time. But I decided to try my luck again and I got approved this time. I thought the limit was a little on the low side to be honest. If I book a cruise with this card, I will be literally using up my whole limit. I have to pay in full for this one.

I use this card together with my Capital One Venture to save on my RC cruise. I use the RCCL Visa to pay for my cruises to earn double points. I then either use the points for cruise discounts and statement credit or OBO. I use my Cap One miles for the airfares.
