Below are cardholders review of the Marriott Visa®
Date :17th July 2006
First Name: John
Which credit card are you reviewing?: Marriott Visa
How long have you had this card?: 2-3 years
Rewards and Benefits: OK - but had problems using the free bonus points certificate
Cost and Fees: I understand the fee for most reward cards but wished I did not have to pay for it!
Customer Service: OK
Comments : when I got this card, I got the Marriot Visa because of the bonus points and that I knew that I was traveling. Well, I understood that the "reward certificate" would be good for category 1-4 rooms. But after calling lots of hotels (and even telling them that I'm flexible on the dates, they all said that they do not accept the "reward certificate". What do I do?

How long have you had this card?: 6 years
Rewards and Benefits: OK - but am now looking for reward card with no annual fee
Cost and Fees: Fair
Customer Service: OK
Comments : Years ago I was in sales and always stayed at Marriott hotels. So this card served it's purpose in that it allowed me to earn more points. But I now stay at more hotels so I am looking perhaps for an Amex card where I can use my points for different hotel

Which credit card are you reviewing?: Marriott
How long have you had this card?: 2 years
Rewards and Benefits: OK
Cost and Fees: Fair
Customer Service: OK
Comments : Being a frequent traveler, I am finding it harder than ever to use my miles or hotel points (and I'm not just talking about Marriott). Hence, I've now decided to cancel my Marriott card (because of the annual fee) and get another no fee reward card. I think many have marriott gift certificates as part of their rewards but once again, it is getting harder to book stuff with your points

First Name: Judy
Which credit card are you reviewing?: Marriott Credit card
How long have you had this card?: 4 years
Rewards and Benefits: OK
Cost and Fees: Fair
Customer Service: Poor
Comments : I've got rid of this card because I am now a SPG member. It has a much better program than Marriott IMO. Plus the terms to transfer points to air miles are better with the SPG program. The card served it's purpose when I was staying at Marriott more before.
